How Does Your Community Make a Difference?

One lighthearted question I’d love to ask the Missouri community today is; “Can you name something your city does that helps the environment and drives conservation impact?”. I think this question is a fun and positive way to spark conversation and bring attention to the ways our local towns and communities are working to protect the beautiful state we call home.
Sometimes, we overlook the small things that make a big difference – like local recycling drives, community gardens, tree planting, stream clean ups, and installation of energy saving streetlights. By asking this question, I hope to encourage people to share what makes their city special when it comes to taking care of our land, water, and air. It is also a great way for other cities within Missouri to learn from one another and get new fresh ideas for conservation projects that they can start or support in their own areas.

Missouri is full of people, like me, that love the outdoors. Whether it’s fishing, hiking, farming, hunting, or simply just watching the sunset- I believe that celebrating our shared efforts to protect it can bring us closer together as a community. As well as encourage the next generation to do the same!
