A Message from the Director
Miss Missouri Outdoors was founded by Rosalie Spencer, a woman who deeply loved Missouri and everything it offers — from its waterways and wildlife to its strong conservation roots. Her vision was to create a pageant that encouraged young women to appreciate, represent, and advocate for our state in a meaningful way.

When I stepped in to assist and later accepted the role of director, my goal was simple: honor what Rosalie built while helping this program grow into what it’s capable of becoming.
Today, Miss Missouri Outdoors is a place where young women are encouraged to be confident, capable, and completely themselves. Where learning outdoor skills sits right alongside interview preparation. Where leadership, service, and personal growth matter just as much as what happens on stage.

This is a pageant for the modern Missouri woman — the one who can hike a trail, wear a crown, speak with confidence, and lead with heart.

Our Mission
The Miss Missouri Outdoors Pageant celebrates confident, capable women who embrace both their femininity and a love for the outdoors. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of leaders by connecting outdoor education, personal growth, and community involvement in one unique experience.
Through this program, participants gain confidence in public speaking, develop leadership skills, and build a deeper appreciation for Missouri’s outdoor heritage and conservation efforts — all within a supportive and encouraging environment.
Every contestant leaves with new skills, lasting friendships, and pride in representing the natural beauty of our state.

What to Expect
Competing in Miss Missouri Outdoors is more than preparing for a stage appearance. Participants take part in a multi-day experience designed to build confidence, capability, and real-world skills in a supportive environment.
