Our Story

The Miss Missouri Outdoors Pageant was founded by Rosalie Spencer, a woman with a deep appreciation for Missouri and all it has to offer—from its scenic waterways to its rich conservation legacy. Her vision was to create a platform that would educate and inspire young women to become ambassadors for Missouri’s tourism, conservation, and natural beauty.

Rosalie’s mission laid the foundation for something truly special—a pageant where love for the outdoors meets pride in our home state.

When I stepped into the role of director, I knew I wanted to honor her legacy while expanding the vision. My goal is to empower young women to embrace every facet of womanhood—to show them that strength and softness, grit and grace, can live side by side.

Here, we celebrate the girls who fish and hike and love a good lipstick. The ones who shoot a bow, rock a gown, speak with confidence, and lead with heart. This is a pageant for the modern Missouri woman—bold, capable, and completely herself.

With love,
Sydney Spiller
